About this beach
Famous for its pink-tinted sand caused by crushed shells. A protected Natura 2000 site at the southwestern tip of Crete. At low tide you can walk to the island of Elafonisi. Water rarely exceeds knee height for 50+ meters, making it one of the safest beaches for children.
