lifeisabeach.gr started with a simple frustration: finding honest, detailed information about Greek beaches was harder than it should be. Tourist brochures showed the same ten famous spots. Travel blogs were outdated. And Google Maps could tell you where a beach was, but not whether the water was calm enough for your toddler, whether there was shade, or whether the taverna nearby was actually any good.

We decided to build something different. Not another travel agency website, not another generic directory, but a living, breathing guide created by the people who know these beaches best - the locals who swim there every morning, the families who return every summer, the adventurers who hike to hidden coves, and the travelers who stumble upon paradise and want to share it.

Starting with Greece - home to over 13,000 km of coastline and 6,000 islands - we are mapping every beach, every coastal town, and every seaside taverna worth knowing about. Every coordinate is verified. Every description is written from experience. Every tip comes from someone who has actually been there.
