The most famous beach on Evia island. A 1.2 km strip of sand and pebbles surrounded by dramatic high cliffs on both sides, with crystal-clear deep sea popular with surfers. Completely unorganized — no umbrellas, sunbeds, or showers — preserving its wild character. Named after the medieval 12th-century church of Panagia Chiliadous located 1 km inland in the gorge. Often called one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.
