Evia's most dramatic entrance is through a half-meter gap in the cliff

1 beaches

A dramatic cliff-framed beach where emerald vegetation meets crystal-clear deep water. Famous for its flag-topped rock, cliff jumping, and a hidden sea cave.

There are beaches, and then there is Limnionas — a place where towering sea cliffs draped in emerald vegetation plunge into water so transparent you can see the bottom at ten meters. The bay stretches 600 meters, a generous sweep of small pebbles and dark sand hemmed in by dramatic cliff walls that shelter the cove and give it an almost amphitheatrical quality. The beach's signature feature is a massive rock splitting the middle, proudly flying a Greek flag. The real hidden treasure requires a fifteen-minute swim — a wide sea cave concealed in the northern cliff face, with an entrance barely half a meter above the waterline. Inside, it opens into a cathedral-like chamber.

Limnionas Beach (pebble) - ★ 0.0

June-September. Mornings best for the cave swim when water is calmest. Cliffs provide afternoon shade.

From Chalkida: ~60 km northeast via Psachna (~1.5 hours). Scenic but winding mountain road. From Athens: ~124 km (~2-2.5 hours).

The sea cave is Limnionas' greatest secret — swim 15 minutes from the beach and look for the tiny entrance near the waterline. Easy to miss, unforgettable once found. Check depth before jumping from the flag rock — it varies on different sides. Northern cliff base has natural shade; center and south get maximum sunlight.
