About this beach
The exotic lagoon of Balos at the northwestern tip of Crete is a natural wonder. Shallow turquoise and jade-colored waters stretch between the shore and Gramvousa islet. Access by boat from Kissamos or via a rough 8 km dirt road plus a 20-minute downhill hike.
